Removing Whiteheads
Monday, December 13th, 2010Whatever you call them, pimples, blackheads or whiteheads, its sure that they have to be removed and fast!
Whiteheads are called closed comedones because they the pores are sealed by dirt, causing a small bump on the face. The white is basically the trapped bacteria in the skin as a result of the small opening of the pores. Like blackheads, they can be squeezed out. However, in learning how to get rid of pimples, you’ll find out that this is not ideal.
Whitehead Removal
When attempting to remove whiteheads, the first thing you should do is make sure that you hands are clean as well as you face. Steam your face to unclog the pores as well as wash it warm water. Make sure that you don’t rub your face and instead gently pat it dry with a clean towel. Now, carefully apply pressure on the base of the whitehead to make the white matter pop out. This should easily break the skin. However, don’t force yourself if the whitehead won’t break easily. Just wait for the pimple to ripen before doing it again. This is because wrongly popped whiteheads tend to leave a scar which are harder to get rid of.
Prevention
Finding out how to get rid of whiteheads is as important as preventing them. Once the pimples are gone, you have to be sure that they won’t come back again. For this, make sure that your pores are always clean and not blocked by dirt. The usual methods are by applying salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide. If you’re on a budget, then try making your own cleanser. An example would be a mix of oatmeal and milk used as a face mask. With this, you can be sure that your pores stay closed and clean. Combine that with proper hygiene and you may never get pimples again.
