Help, I Need Treatment For Cystic Acne!
July 9th, 2010 | Author: Guest AuthorSkin break-outs can happen to anyone. Teen-age boys and girls usually run into this problem when they are going through puberty. They are hit most by this, however it can happen to anyone at any stage in life. Many women might see acne in the late 30′s. The break-outs can be mild with a few blemishes are full blown acne, sometimes known as cystic acne. Don’t cancel all your dates though, there is hope. We will look at treatment for cystic acne.
Acne is a condition of the skin. It can be in the form of pimples, whiteheads or blackheads. Add cystic to acne and you have a very painful problem. Cystic acne affects the tissue of the skin to a much deeper degree.
Acne medications will help resolve the problem of excessive oil and bacteria. If you are worried do not hesitate in seeking a physician for advice, because some acne can even cause severe permanent scarring. If scarring happens for mild cases laser resurfacing might be used. If you do not know a dermatologist, your physician may recommend one.
Acne medications help by creating new cells and stopping the hair follicles from being clogged up. They will help control the oil and bacteria. If there is a concern, by all means do not hesitate seeing a physician.
There are ways you can help prevent acne. It is a good practice to wash twice a day. This will help remove the oil and skin that has died. Too much of a good thing is too much, so don’t overdo the washing because it can be irritating to the skin. Always remove make-up at night and keep applicators fresh and clean. Also, look for acne creams or gels containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
Try to remember if acne wants to face you, you can fight back. With cleanliness, proper medication and the help of a physician or dermatologist, before too long you can regain better looking skin and hopefully see “clear” again.
